Chicken and bacon are good source of protein.  Bacon is not only yummy but can also be health when the right one is chosen.  Look for bacon that is free of antibiotics and hormones and low sodium

Asparagus is a great source of magnesium that helps with inflammation and energy boost among many other great benefits.

Your young athlete won’t even mind the green stuff on their plate 😉

      Ingredients
      • 3-4 thin boneless chicken breasts preferably organic or all natural
      • 1/4 cup coconut oil or olive oil
      • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
      • 1/2 tsp salt
      • 1/4 tsp pepper
      • 1/2 tsp paprika optional
      • 7-8 strips bacon uncured, no nitrates, no hormones/antibiotic
      • 6-8 sprigs asparagus
      Servings:
      Instructions
      1. Preheat over to 425 degrees.
      2. If chicken breasts are too think, slice them in half to make thinner slices
      3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place chicken breast strips
      4. Brush chicken breasts with chosen oil on both sides
      5. In a small bowl, mix all seasoning. Season each chicken strip on all sides
      6. Place 2 asparagus sprigs in the middle of each chicken breast
      7. Fold chicken breast around asparagus sprigs and wrap each chicken breast with a strip of bacon or two. Hold together with a toothpick if necessary
      8. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink
